I was recently sent the newly launched Kosasport Chemistry Deodorant from Kosas. I have to say, I have never put too much thought into deo, but learning about this new product has educated me on what’s really going down under my armpits lol!
So what I’ve learned is that our bodies are covered with sweat glands that are essential to help us cool down. There are 2 types of glands, eccrine and apocrine. Eccrine glands cover most of the body and open up directly on the skin’s surface while apocrine glands are found in the areas that contain a lot of hair follicles, open up in the hair follicle, and then to the surface. Both release fluid, both are odorless, BUT the fluid released by apocrine glands develop a smell when they come in contact with the bacteria in your skin.
Kosas created a deodorant with an AHA blend that helps to keep your B.O in check (not just mask it, cause ew!) The AHA blend creates the ideal PH environment where the odor-causing bacteria can’t survive. This WHILE also treating the skin under your armpits as it brightens, exfoliates, improves moisture, and helps regulate sebum production.
I love the Chemistry deodorant rollerball and the cooling serum formula. It reminds me of the rollerball deodorants my mom use to buy for me when I was young but with all the better 🙂 . It comes in a delicate fragrance or fragrance-free. Thumbs up for being streak-free, non-sticky, and drying quickly. Double thumbs up for being Aluminum and baking soda free!
